SOLD! 2010-2017 Equinox Terrain 10" Stealthbox LOADED With 10" Eclipse Sub!

SOLD! SOLD! 2010-2017 Equinox Terrain 10" Stealthbox Loaded With Eclipse Subwoofer! LAST ONE!!!!

I've built 4 of these enclosures in total, I've sold 2, kept one for myself, and this is the last one! I don't plan to produce any more!

This is a 2010-2017 Chevrolet Equinox & GMC Terrain OEM subwoofer enclosure modified to fit a 10" subwoofer and loaded with an Eclipse 86100 DVC 10" sub.

I bought my 2015 Equinox and quickly discovered the stock 8" sub didn't put out the quantity of bass I wanted! I wanted more bass, but I also needed to keep all of my storage room. I found the JL Audio Stealthbox and then I saw the price of $550! WAAAY too much money IMO. I decided to see what else I could come up with. I ordered myself a used enclosure on eBay and went to work. I cut it open to see what I could do and came up with what you see pictured. I carpeted the front after I had done all of the modifications and I think it came out very nice...and it's a product that's not even seen once it's installed!

I've had one installed for over a year and I'm very happy with it. I decided to test the waters and see if there was anyone else out there like me that wanted a Stealthbox, but not the JL Audio price tag, so I ordered another used enclosure and built this one to sell.

The Stealthbox has just a bit over .5 cu. ft. Of air space. It is a sealed enclosure and the sub mounting surface is 5/8" wafer board.

You will need to cut off the plastic "lip" on the inside panel of the stock grill in order to have maximum sub clearance. I cut mine out with just a razor blade. I'll send more pics and instructions upon request.

I am NOT a professional car audio installer, so please examine the pictures closely of exactly what I've built. I'm happy with mine and am sure you will be happy with this one as well!

I've test fitted subs with a mounting depth of 5 15/16" and they fit. I don't think anything any deeper than that will fit, but any sub with a depth of LESS than 6" should fit well if you plan to replace the sub.

Eclipse 86100 DVC Specifications:
-10" sub designed for small sealed enclosures
-150 watts RMS (300 watts peak)
-Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil (Wired in parallel for 2 Ohm load)

Recommended amp is the Alpine MRV-M250. Matches the Eclipse sub perfectly!

Price: $229.95 shipped (48 states)

Ha - I get a negative tax return. I don't believe in giving our Gov.t. interest free loans.

How much without the sub, I already have a 10" sub to use and a alpine mrv m500 mono amp.

At this point, I don't want to separate the sub and enclosure...the 2 unloaded enclosures have already sold and I'd like to let this one go as a package at this time... I may reconsider if I still have it in a few months...

...let me clarify why I don't want to separate this last one... I designed this enclosure specifically for this sub. I designed and built the unloaded enclosures to be a little more universal by setting the mounting surface a little further back into the enclosure so that a sub's x-max wouldn't be compromise by slamming into the stock grill. Due to this, the depth of the enclosure was sacrificed slightly. This loaded enclosure has the mounting surface moved slightly more forward to give the sub a little more air space without causing any issues with x-max and the sub hitting the stock grill. There are a couple of other slight differences too, but just know this Eclipse sub and this specific enclosure are meant to be together.

...bump for my last one! I've gotten several emails and messages about it, but no one's stepped up and pulled the trigger yet. Once this one is gone, that's it!
