Bungee cord with clips - what's it for?

Got my 'Nox about a week ago, and finally got to organizing the glove box - there was a small black bungee cord with clips on both ends in a bag that had been torn open - looks like it contained a number of things that were snapped/strapped on after delivery. The label on the bag said something about the rear seat, but I can't figure out what it's for - anyone know?

according to the Terrain manual it's to secure the rear armrest if you are using the center position for a child carseat.

Thanks for the quick replies, all. Good to know, since I plan to do just that (put a child seat in the center spot).
