2017 Amplified Subwoofer install - SOLVED

So I'm mid way through an install in the family 2017 Equinox 1LT 4cyl - I'm adding an amplified "Bazooka Tube" subwoofer

Been reading and scrolling through dozens of threads but can't figure out the '16+ wiring diagram specifics

I connected everything as best I can - but questioning if the older pre-2015 wire colours are the same in the 2016 and up models.

Right now - I'm getting power to the Bazooka - but at start up - the sub hits 3-4 times, even with the radio off.

I figured it's the ANC interfering. So again, upon reading dozens of threads, I figured I'd pull the #7 fuse at the interior fuse box by the passenger seat kick panel. But to my surprise - there's no fuse in the number 7 slot

4 hours into this - my back is sore and it's too dark to continue.

Anybody have any insight to getting this to work?

Thanks in advance

So according to Bazooka - you're supposed to tap into both front left and right speakers to achieve maximum staging

Unfortunately, for us with ANC and Bluetooth phone, we cannot use front speakers

2017 Models do have a different stereo wiring color code than the previous models

I did tap into the rear left speaker ONLY (and did not bother tapping into the right rear)

EVERYTHING works fine.

So I pulled off the left rear door panel to identify the correct colors

Wire colors are brown (+) and yellow (-) at the speaker

So I tapped into the bundle of wires in the column and the amplified bass tube works great now.

Looking further on line / colors at the amp should (or could be) brown (+) and white/Brown (-)

Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to pull the harness out under the dash to verify.
