If pricing were all the same for comparable equipment levels....the SRX hands down. However, throw the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee into the same mix and I would choose that.

agreed, the new Cherokee is sweet, not in the same league here, or I would have thrown in the Corvette, and picked it!

Well..I'll throw my 2 cents in... We drove the new SRX on the same day that we ended up ordering the 2011 Equinox. I really liked the sportiness...Cadillac exterior trim...and some of the interior luxury features. However immediatly apparent was a more cramped interior(especially back seat) and lack of all-around comfort compared to the Equinox. My wife commented that it seemed like a dressed up Saturn 'Vue' sizewize and the much higher price seemed to only add a touch more class but subtracted more practical features compared to the Equinox...in her opinion. We didn't test drive the Terrain because neither of us were drawn to that body style. We also drove the Grand Cherokee....but noticed road noise..stiffer ride..etc. Since we had driven the Equinox first..of course..we were comparing every other CUV/SUV to it. We test drove most of the other offerings in the Equinox's class...and beyond. I can honestly say..after all that research we found nothing else that 'all around' compared....even for much more $$. They were always lacking in something. As you can see..we would still get the Equinox if we had it to do over.

In your question...you have Terrain listed twice rather than SRX...

For us...
The Nox is sleeker, nicely rounded compared to the Terrain
The Terrain with it's flat front facia and squared off fenders looked too much like our Avalanche
I liked the standard equipment Projector Head and Fog lamps on all trim level Terrains but not enough to settle for the squared off/boxy body lines
So I'll be modding the Nox instead

The Caddy would be me choice. Has sharp details. I like the detail on the front fenders

Same here! If money was no object, I'd have a V6 Turbo premium. But since my 'Nox after discounts was 31K, and it costs 21K more for the SRX I'd want, it was sadly a no go. haha.

I chose the Nox because the SRX was out of my price comfort zone....and the Terrain was just released and in short supply. (my dealer only had one, and it was already pretty much sold) Also, at the time I felt that the Terrain looked like it was trying to be something that a 4cyl, front wheel drive unibody CUV just isn't. The looks have grown on me since though..

We traded in a Dodge Nitro R/T which was sharp looking, but decided to go more towards the Equinox look than the Terrain. If we had not had the Nitro, the Terrain may have been our pick.
