Its not a $15 box fan...but a 25K(+) car..big investment in my pocketbook!

ITs brand new, just drove it home...obviously this would be a good dealer issue..not GM...Dealer should want to keep a customer happy, and this isnt a good start!

and It cant be a lemon law yet!...yeez....One issue that is in the shop being repaired...Lemon Law atty. would laugh if you asked them to take this as a case..It is probably a gasket installed incorrectly...doesnt mean the vehicle is a lemon....

Your right but I'm too cynical. I don't feel like a car dealership is a place where I expect people to go above and beyond.  Im in the Detroit area and the ones i have used are pretty crappy.  The dealership stands to make a lot of warranty money on this one so you can see why they are all excited to fix it.  If they take the car back they can't fix it and sell it as new?  at least I don't think they can.  We can all agree it's not a good situation to be in.

Im also in Detroit  area..and I agree about Dealerships..

your probably right about it...warranty work paid by GM..dealer doesnt lose money on warranty work.

Its just not a good start...I hope its something minor..

Got her back Tuesday... Rear main seal had popped...improper installation hey say...13 hrs labour. Had to pull the engine and trans as an assembly to get the two apart. And I got a phone call from GM Canada customer service suggesting that they intend to do something for my inconvenience but I dont know what. They were going to call me back after speaking with the service manager of the dealership. No return call...

Still have not driven it as the wife doesnt want to cough up the keys yet. She really likes it.  Grin.
So after messing up xmas a bit its nice to have it back and I will be keeping a close eye on it. Would be nice if they would extend my already extended warranty I paid for to 200 thousand for my peace of mind. No cost to GM for that.  Grin

Extending the warranty would go a long way if it were me. I'd ask for it if not offered.

I hate to get off topic but does your user name have anything to do with Oldsmobile 442's?
