I chose 18" when I ordered, changed my mind to take 17" a few days later, but was notified last week I didnt get the change.
So I am back to 18" machined wheels. Picture of 18" Nox wheel from 2010 Toronto Auto show:

hopefully, with this many folks having 18" tires, the selection will increase, and the cost will come down by the time it is time for me to replace!

17"
I wanted the 18" for the Terrain because they look far better in the wheel wells but we couldnt change our order when we claimed it. Sucks but wife likes the 17" wheels better.

was wondering if anybody could answer my question about the tire size. Waiting for my knox to come in and have ordered the 17" wheels, thinking of the gas mileage, and trying to keep it low. Was wondering if anybody has the 18" wheels and if it has changed their gas mileage, for the worse.
thanks

True but putting Nox wheels on the Terrain is not a good idea.

I like the 18" better too, but I wanted to change after looking at the price difference on replacement tires. 17" tires are much less expensive and there is more selection. No to the trade..hehe

Im sure you change the logos as they are just center caps but I just dont think the wheels look too good on anything other than what they are designed for. Just my opinion of course.

hmm, we'll have to have a collection of wheel pictures. my 18" bowtie wheels don't have center caps, just the bowtie logo stamped/forged into the alloy. here are the 17, 18, and 19" equinox wheel options...

I doubt that. Most GM wheels have a center cap. When you take off the wheel you can look at the center of the wheel and see that the cap is held on with spring clips basically. If they DONT have the center cap then GM has really changed.

well, I had to run out the parking lot and check...and I stand corrected. upon close inspection, the logo does appear to be on some sort of cap. I can't find a decent picture of the Terrain wheels, but the design does not appear interchangeable.

Judging by the wheels shown in the online brochure (for the Terrain) they all have large centre caps that cover the lug nuts.

If anyone goes the aftermarket route on the Terrain wheels, be sure to post pics as I'm toying with the idea. Have utilized the tire/wheel sites to show different rims on a image, but not the same as a real live pic.

We went with the 17's on our 'Nox. We liked the look of the wheel on the 17's better than the 18's, and they were a little less money. The 19's weren't an option for us, because we didn't want the 6-cylinder.

I might have gone for the 18" inchers...but I really liked the look of the base 17" wheel better. That's got to be a first for me..
